REVIEW ON FORMULATION AND EVALUATION OF HERBAL GEL FOR MOUTH ULCER

Herbal remedies are still utilized for basic health care by 75-80% of the world's population, primarily in underdeveloped nations, because of their cultural acceptability, compatibility with the human body, and lack of harmful effects. Herbal medicines are manufactured from plants or plant parts and are used to prevent and treat diseases and ailments, as well as to promote health and wellness. It is a medicine or formulation derived from one or more plants and used for any number of purposes. Herbal medicines are the oldest type of health treatment known to people. Although there are more synthetic gels on the market than herbal or natural gels, synthetic gels can cause skin irritation and dryness. People nowadays are more aware of the adverse effects and ingredients used in gel or other formulations. As a result, there is a great
increase in demand for the medication that contains natural ingredients it. This experiment aimed to formulate the gel and test the herbal mouth ulcer gel. Therefore, new formulations have the potential to treat oral ulcers. However, additional clinical investigations are needed to determine the therapeutic efficacy of prepared herbal gels.
