A COMPREHENSIVE METHOD FOR MANAGEMENT PCOD AND PCOS: A COMPARISON OF CONVENTIONAL AND CONTEMPORARY HEALTHCARE SYSTEMS

Abstract

PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome) and PCOD (Polycystic Ovary Disorder) are often used interchangeably, but some distinctions exist. PCOS can lead to infertility, irregular menstrual cycles, hyperandrogenism, and metabolic complications like insulin resistance and type 2 diabetes. PCOD may cause hormonal imbalance, irregular menstrual cycles, and polycystic ovaries, but its symptoms and severity can vary. Between 4% and 21% of people worldwide have PCOS, while between 2% and 35% of people in India have PCOD. It is estimated that about 22% of metropolitan Indian women suffer from PCOD; however precise prevalence estimates are not well-documented when separated from PCOS. Use our indepth guide to learn about holistic methods to PCOD and PCOS management, including treatment choices from a variety of medical systems, such as homeopathy, naturopathy, yoga, siddha, Ayurveda, Unani and allopathy to find out how these various treatments can improve general health and alleviate symptoms.
